Getting Help

Library Staff are here to help you with your research, finding information or using the library.
You are welcome to visit the Library Help desk on the main floor (which is the 3rd floor) or 
Ask Us.

Off-campus access
Most online resources on the Library website are available from anywhere off-campus.
Some databases will ask you to login. Use your culinary email username and password that you use for the portal, Moodle, etc.

Interlibrary Loan
If there is an article that we do not have in the library, we will get a copy for you through Interlibrary Loan, a free service for all CIA students, staff & faculty.

Search tips

For research into the country and local region, use these search terms:

  • Apulia OR Puglia
  • "Southern Italy" or use South* Italy (with the * truncation symbol

  • use Italy to find information about the country,
  • use Italian to describe food, wine, other items, used globally
  • use Ital* (* truncation symbol) to find both
