Grant Writing Help Guide

Tips for Revising your Proposal

Strong grant proposals take time to develop. Start early and get feedback from both specialists and non-specialists.

  • Seek help from experts in specific areas, like statisticians for methodology.

  • Consult relevant campus research offices for additional support.

  • During revisions, ensure you clearly link research objectives and methodology.

  • Ask readers if you have made a compelling case, stated hypotheses, ensured feasibility, and defined success evaluation.

  • Share the grant agency's evaluation criteria with your reviewers.
