An Advent Calendar contains a minimum of 24 different windows that can lead to an image, text, link, audio, or video. The windows are meant to represent different days in the month. However, you can define your sequence and meaning in your activity.
How Can You Use an Advent Calendar?
A Fact or Tip a Day Calendar: Create a learning tips calendar where each day reveals a study tip, time-management, or learning tip.
Highlights: Include a meaningful concept, recipe, technique, or argument in each day and use the day's highlight as a discussion topic. You can even use a combination of an Advent Calendar and a Discussion Board.
Challenge a Day: Use the calendar to present a different challenge a day. You can describe the challenge in the calendar and have the student submit the answer in Moodle.
