H5P Help Guide

This LibGuide contains step-by-step directions to complete several H5P Resources and Activities. Additionally, each h5p activity or resource contains specific suggestions on how to use it in a course.

H5P is a set of interactive tools to help educators construct interactive content that is in a responsive design framework. You can develop many different content types directly in the browser.

Most H5P activities contain Behavioral Settings and Text and Translations. These settings can modify specific behaviors of the activity as well as text, titles, and terminology within the activity.

How Can I Use H5P to Create Active Learning Content

  • Develop Interactive Case Studies in any subject with the Branching Scenario, which includes text and rich media.
  • You can easily group similar content in a Moodle Text box, activity description, or resource description with the Accordion H5P resource.
  • Add interactive questions, elements, and titles to a YouTube video.
  • Create an interactive syllabus where students can click on QR Codes to pull up an activity or supplemental information using the AR Scavenger Hunt H5P activity

Content Bank

Your H5P material will be created in the Content Bank within a specific course. However, once you create a H5P activity it can be exported and imported to different content banks within courses. Additionally, H5P activities can be exported and shared.
