H5P Help Guide

This LibGuide contains step-by-step directions to complete several H5P Resources and Activities. Additionally, each h5p activity or resource contains specific suggestions on how to use it in a course.

Image Hotspot

Create an interactive diagram or process that can include a combination of text, images, audio, and video directly in your browser window.

How can I use the Image Hotspot?

  • Use images of a plant or garden to create a diagram of each part of a plant or each segment in a garden.
  • Use the image of a Cow to display parts of a cut of beef. In your activity, include a video describing how each part can be used.
  • Use a still image of a film to show and describe the importance of food in the scene.
  • Use an image of equipment to break down each component and demonstrate how to use it.

Step 1

First, add a background image for the hotspot and then select a hotspot icon.

Step 2

Click and drag the marker to where you want the Hotspot, create the content, and click Save

Note: You can have as many hotspots as possible. However, you will configure each hotspot individually. You can use different types of media for each hotspot
