H5P Help Guide

This LibGuide contains step-by-step directions to complete several H5P Resources and Activities. Additionally, each h5p activity or resource contains specific suggestions on how to use it in a course.

Interactive Video

The interactive video activity will allow you to overlay questions, titles, or elements over a YouTube video or a video.

Step 1

You will go through the 3 steps above. The first step is to select a video. Click this box (see pop-up box below).

Copy and paste the URL from the Address bar or upload a video file from your computer, and then click Insert.

 

Step 2Click on Step 2 Add interactions. A YouTube video has been uploaded.

 

Step 3

Each one of these icons are a type of element or interaction that you can overlay on the video. Select an item to build out the interaction.

Experiment with different types of question or engaging activities.

 

Step 4

Edit the time frame in which you want to display the question. You can pause the video during the question. These preferences are available on most question types in the interactive video.

 

Step 5

  • The next section pertains only to the particular content type.
  • These options will be different for each question type.

In this section you will build the question or activity. You can have as many alternative answers as you want. Click on Add Answer to add another one.

 

Step 6

Lastly, scroll down and Click Save.
