A QR code is a graphical link to digital data that can be printed, displayed, and scanned by a smartphone or other device (see Image 1). QR codes can be placed anywhere, and students can use their own Smartphones to access the information. You can use QR codes for student access
to videos, web links, quizzes, presentations, etc.
Introduce students to topics and content: Add a QR code to topics in your Syllabus to directly link to the content on your Moodle Course Shell.
Connect to students: Include a picture of a QR code in your Syllabus that introduces you to your students.
Collaboration: Use a QR code to link to a shared One Drive document for students to collaborate.
Easy Access FAQ: Use a QR code for students to access a discussion board for FAQs for the semester easily.
Reflections and Assessments: Incorporate a Kahoot quiz, Poll Everywhere, or Microsoft Form Survey into a QR code and place it near an object in a lab, a handout, or online for students to select and complete.
Your students will access the content and the QR code using their own smartphone or tablet. They will need to go to a browser application on their phone and then type in the URL of your Moodle course. Then, they can open up the H5P AR Scavenger hunt activity on their phone.
In the H5P AR Scavenger Hunt Activity, you will add each QR Code image as a marker and the interaction once a student scans the QR code. To get the best results, make sure your marker image is:
