This is a comprehensive Guide to the Kaltura Video Platform. It includes instructions for: (1) creating and uploading videos, (2) creating interactivity in Kaltura Videos, and (3) adding Kaltura videos to Moodle.

Editing Video Captions in Kaltura

Kaltura will use Machine Learning to caption videos you upload or record directly to Kaltura automatically. The captioning provide Kaltura is mostly accurate. However, if you notice an error, you can change it directly in Kaltura Video.

Step 1

Once you have selected editing on the video, you will then select Caption & Enrich from the Actions Menu.

Select Captions and Enrich from Actions Menu.

Step 2

If captioning is completed in your video, you will see it under Existing Requests. If captioning has not been completed or is not started, click the +Order button to begin captioning the video using Machine Learning.

Click on the pencil icon to edit the current Captions provided by Machine Learning.

If editing captions, click on pencil icon 

Step 3: Close Captions Editor

The captions and time codes are displayed on the left, while the video is on the right. There is a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page.

Autoscroll: as you play the video in the right frame, the transcript on the left will scroll automatically.

Captions are displayed.

Step 4

Select text to edit a caption or select the time code to adjust the placement. Additionally, you can delete a caption or add a new caption.

Select Save. The captions have now been updated.

Click Save.
