Kaltura Help Guide

This is a comprehensive Guide to the Kaltura Video Platform. It includes instructions for: (1) creating and uploading videos, (2) creating interactivity in Kaltura Videos, and (3) adding Kaltura videos to Moodle.

Student Guide to use Express Capture

Step 1

Select Kaltura My Media from the Moodle Header

Select Add New and then Express Capture (your web camera will be activated).

Select Allow to grant Kaltura access to your web camera and microphone.

once you select Allow, the web camera and microphone will be on and ready to record. You will see the web camera activated in the Record Media Window. To begin recording, select the red record button.

After you select the red record button there will be a countdown of 3 and then the web camera will start recording.

When you have completed your recording, select stop.

Once you stop recording you will be able to review the video. After reviewing the video, select  Record Again, Download a Copy, or Use This.

After selecting Use This you will fill out the details of the video. You are required to give the video a unique name. Next, scroll down to Save the video.

Select Save and then select either Go to Media or Go to MyMedia

You will now see your new recording at the top your videos in your MyMedia Page.
