Importing a Course Video Walkthrough

Importing Your Moodle Course

In order to restore a course, you first need a Course Backup File. This file can be obtained from backing up the course you wish to restore (see Backing Up Your Course instructions) or it can be shared by another faculty member.

To restore a course, follow these steps:

1. From the Course Navigation bar, select More > Course Reuse.

Select More and Course Reuse on the Course Main Menu.

2. Chose Import from the drop down menu.

3. Once you have attached the correct Backup File, click Upload this File.

4. Click Restore.

Click Restore

5. Confirm the backup settings and click Continue.

6. In the Restore into this Course Preference box, select Merge the backup course into this course, and click Continue.

Make sure Merge the backup course into this course is selected and click Continue.

 

8. Confirm the Restore Settings and click Next.

9. In the Schema Settings page you can pick what you want to be restored, and then click Next.

Note. If you want to Restore an entire course, you can leave all parts checked.

10. After reviewing the settings, click Perform Restore.
